Historic House and Gardens

Near Ullswater in the Lake District.

House Opening Times 2008: Sunday to Thursday:
1st April to 28th October. Closed Friday and Saturday.

Tea Room, Gardens, Gift Shop,
Plant Centre, Agricultural, Fell Pony and Countryside Collections:
10-30 am to 5-00 pm.

House, Westmorland & Cumberland Yeomanry Museum:
11-15 am to 4-00 pm.

29th October 2007 - 1 February 2008:
Tearoom & Gardens only, open Sun - Thurs, 11 am to 4 pm.

There is no charge for your visit to the Fell Pony and Countryside Museums, though we hope you will also enjoy a visit to the House, the Gardens and the Tea Room.

Sorry - there is no disabled accessHowever, the Museums are on an upper floor of the Great Barn to which entry is by a flight of stone steps. We are sorry but there is no disabled access.

We also recommend adult supervision of children among the museum's large collection of agricultural tools and implements.
