Royal Star is a beautiful dark bay, stands over 16 hands high, possesses great substance, and for action cannot be beaten. He is by Young Pluto, and was bred by Mr Bowe, of Newton, Penrith.

Royal Star's dam was by Abel; gr-dam by Sportsman; so he ought to get stock suitable for nearly any kind of work.

Abel, by Spencer out of Slayer's Daughter; Spencer by Cotherstone - Polka; Cotherstone, by Touchstone - Emma; Slayer's Daughter, by Cain - Daughter of St Nicholas and Harriet; St Nicholas, by Emilius - Sea Mew; Harriet by Stripling - Maniac; Stripling, by Phenonomon - Laura; by Eclipse.

Young Pluto, by Pluto; dam by Young Charley. Pluto was sold for 500 guineas to go abroad. Young Charley, by Old Sir Charles; Old Sir Charles, by Performer. Pluto, by Bay President; dam, Evening Star, by Cook's Wildfire. Evening Star is sister to North Star, and dam of British Queen, Yorkshire Phenomenon, Eclipse, Thixendale, Fireaway, and other noted horses.
